The Finance Manager will be responsible for all of the CTWO Hubs financial systems. Our Hub, includes fiscally sponsored projects whose finances require additional tracking and reporting. We currently use Quickbooks Online, Gusto,, and PeX. Our funding primarily consists of foundation grants, earned revenue contracts, and individual donations.

Finance Manager will…

Financial Leadership (10%)

In partnership with the Managing Director, provide financial leadership including:

  • Lead collaboration and coordination between the Operations and Development teams
  • Contribute to relevant conversations of the Leadership Team as needed.
  • Ensure that CTWOs financial systems meet government compliance requirements and fiscal responsibility standards
  • Conduct business planning & scenario planning as needed

Financial Management (40%)

Support and develop CTWO’s internal financial systems, including:

  • Manage the Hub's comprehensive annual budgeting process involving all staff. Manage budget throughout the year, including monitoring spending and building staff members’ budgeting & finance skills. Provide guidance to department directors for the successful financial administration of their departments
  • Work closely with Accounting firm and CPA on our annual audit and 990
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for the management team and board of directors, including forecasts of income and expenses to support decision-making
  • Maintain and update CTWO’s financial policies
  • Continually evaluate and improve financial systems and processes. Research and implement new financial systems as needed
  • Support CTWO’s development teams with preparing grant & contract budgets & reports, and other projects as needed
  • Research and ensure the legal compliance of projects and initiatives that span the finance and program teams.

Financial Oversight (40%)

Oversee all financial transactions for the CTWO HUB and our fiscally sponsored projects, including:

  • Reconciliation:
    • Month-end close, including reconciliations of bank & credit card accounts
    • Cash flow management
    • Monthly allocation of fiscally sponsored project’s payroll & personnel expenses
    • Redistribution of fiscally sponsored project’s expenses
  • Lead the financial management of grants
  • Work in collaboration with the Managing Director to oversee the relationship with CTWO’s fiscally sponsored project, including soliciting feedback and making systems improvements as needed

Other (10%)

  • Organization-wide responsibilities: Participate in all organizational culture initiatives; staff meetings and retreats and staff political education; cross-department committees; grassroots fundraising with individual donors; and occasional campaign events
  • Other duties and special projects as needed

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, particularly in a non-profit organization
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with accounting and financial management
  • Non Profit Experience
  • Ability to design, manage and implement strategy
  • Expertise in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong aptitude for math
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Ability to think out of the box when solving problems
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Impeccable verbal, written, research, communication and deck creation skills and experience
  • Demonstrated alignment with CTWO’s mission, and a strong commitment to racial and/or social justice
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects and multi-task across a broad spectrum of collaborators, based in various office locations or working remotely
  • Able to work independently in a face-paced environment, with a proactive approach
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ability to exercise absolute discretion
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and donors


CTWO offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive, progressive benefits program to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing and dedicated workforce. The salary range for this position is full-time $65,000-$75,000 a year. This is a 32-hours per week position.
